Photobucket

Parts of Lake Burley Griffin have been closed following a sewage leak at Yarralumla Bay yesterday. The National Capital Authority last night advised an area of the lake was closed to primary contact activities.A NCA spokeswoman said Yarralumla Bay, Yarralumla Beach, Weston Park East and Black Mountain Beach are closed to recreation activities that involve whole-body water contact or submersion of the head. Warning signs had been posted around the exclusion areas and the NCA will monitor water quality and will re-open the areas with clear test results.
