ST JOHN - FIRST AID TRAINING (SENIOR FIRST AID)

Photobucket

Recently through my work in the Construction industry I was required to get my Senior First Aid Certificate (Also known as Workplace Level 2).Knowing I had always wanted to receive guided first aid training, and also how dangerous our industry can be, I attended with more than one perceived practice in mind. While this training could save a fellow workmates life it could also be critical around the house and out and about. Unfortunately first aid may involve a stranger but is morel likely it will be a family member or close friend).

NSW - SOUTH COAST SERGEANT SICKNESS 14/7/12

Photobucket

Ever had your arms pulled off by a Sergeant Baker?

Went Snapper fishing in the usual spot (Search is your friend) recently in between cold and flu symptoms and found the going pretty tough. Met a mate already down there who had a couple of small ones and a 50cm model who indicated an unknown kayaker on the horizon had a decent model. Hopes were high for some great fishing but alas no matter what people tell you it was pretty quiet on the fishing front (Unless catching Wrasse is your thing, then it was extraordinary).

ICAST 2012 - HOBIE CAT P.A 12 WINS BEST OF SHOW

Photobucket

Hobie Cat once again sweeps the pools at ICAST after being named 'Best of Show' in both the boat category and overall (Voted by buyers and media alike).

To view the full results and the products visit http://www.icastfishing.org/

This video of the Hobie Mirage Pro Angler 12 was recently shot at ICAST 2012. Morgan Promnitz runs viewers through the kayaks new features. This new boat sure lives up to the hype and with dealer deliveries already taking place in Australia there has never been a better time to upgrade. Too many features to mention so I will let the video do the talking but the way the vantage seating is controlled is a real eye opener, not to mention the transducer ready scupper and the various tackle storage options at your disposal.

BLAST FROM THE PAST - CHRISTMAS TRIP 2007

22nd December
Saturday Morning – Top Lake, Merimbula :

Weather was looking poor with squall lines moving across as far as the eye could see, decided to go out anyway considering I came down a few days early for my yearly fishing and kayaking extravaganza ( Bloody hybrid sports ). Launched at Top Lake Boat Hire around 6:30 and commenced a lazy troll towards the Millingandi Creek area, picked up a few tiny Squire on the infamous Chubby ( Is there anything this lure cant catch? ) before nailing a 50 cm + Flathead as I came to the weeds in front of the Oyster leases.
