KAYAK FISHING ADVENTURES

Kayak Fishing Adventures (http://www.kfa.net.au/) is a website blog dedicated to the art of fishing from a kayak. Our net audience ranges from hardcore aficionados to the inquisitive public servant (Recent surveys even include the elderly). With a large topic selection with mixed input from sources here and abroad, KFA prides itself on providing the reader real world information related directly to experiences gained while chasing the kayak fishing dream.

From trip reports, product reviews, networking groups (Such as http://www.akff.net/) to tips and tricks, we aim to share what we have previously learnt. KFA is humbled by kayak fishing, each new adventure provides new experiences (And in turn, knowledge gained).

Over the past couple of years personal information began to accumulate and digital images cluttered desktops. It began as archiving fishing data between friends, now we are sharing it on the World Wide Web. Acting more like a portal than a standalone site, we have developed ourselves into one of Australia’s leading Kayak Fishing resources. We encourage readers to enter and leave the site via one of our external website links. With the sport of Kayak Fishing still growing in Australia it can’t hurt to expose ‘Everyone to everything’ can it?

With past experience in admin roles with leading Australasian Kayak Fishing websites; and commercial and industry involvement we hold the sport of kayak fishing in the highest regard. Traditionally based from the nation’s capital, Canberra, the website itself harbours a diverse range of kayak fishing destinations. The seaside coastal haunts of the NSW south coast are covered, along with NSW Alpine areas, capital cities (Such as Melbourne and Sydney) and NSW and Victorian rural areas.

As the site grows, so will ultimately the passion. Without restricting ourselves, contributors fish in entirely different ways and for vastly different subjects. KFA is not all about kayaks however, fishing from boats and banks is a traditional and common occurrence. Be it drop shotting plastic cocktails offshore or pitching metal slugs from the rocks, the initial passion remains the same (Fishing is fishing).

One look at the link sections should provide you endless hours of useful information and insight. When KFA first converted from a simple blog to what it is today we contacted as many websites as we could to participate in a link swap, essentially placing our website address in their link section in return for a prominent position on our site. While we heard back from some the majority didn’t seem interested. Still, up went their links to add to our international database as it was in our best interest to house them (And yours).

The overwhelming majority of US and international sites put the national site link list on the backburner as it was unfortunately the smallest section we had to collate. We are planning to change from a national link structure to an Australasian listing, thus including the abundant NZ links. Also in the works is a generic listing of general fishing sites, including tackle suppliers, distributors, and retailers (And the list goes on and on).

If for some reason we have missed exposing your site in our link sections please feel free to contact admin with ‘KFA link’ as the subject line header. This goes for blog listings as well, we would love to reward your efforts with more traffic and increase our available data. All blogs submitted automatically update with your new postings so readers here get to see your recent activity without even initially visiting your website (A sneak peek so to say, a real bonus).

Now you have familiarised yourself with the site, its troops and its mission we hope you enjoy your visit and leave with a little something. Our goal is to keep the site as current as possible but at the same time harmonise it with our day to day lives. We have some exciting opportunities on the horizon and can’t wait to unleash them on the unsuspecting public, but as they say patience is a virtue worth waiting for.

Enjoy the website,
